The 2017 Golf Alltrack is both affordable and spacious, introducing crossover styling with such features as a standard all-wheel drive. It is based on the Golf SportWagen and the Golf SportWagen 4Motion. The Alltrack shares many of the features as the previous two models, including a turbocharged 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine. What set the Alltrack apart are standard fog lights, additional body cladding, and a distinctive black honeycomb grille.
In addition, the Alltrack offers greater ground clearance while gaining a slightly better gas mileage compared to the SportWagen. With the SE trim, Ventura drivers can enjoy such amenities as Fender premium audio and a panoramic sunroof.
Volkswagon’s Driver Assistance Package
A Driver Assistance Package is available in both the S and the SE trims, delivering adaptive cruise control, parking steering assist, front and rear park assist, and forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking. In the SEL trim, these same features also come bundled with lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, an auto-dimming mirror, automatic high beams, and bi-xenon adaptive headlights.
The Golf’s Basic Features
The base price for the Alltrack S is just $27,770. A 6-speed automatic, this version includes heated leatherette seats equipped with power recline, power mirrors, power windows, a backup camera, power locks, eight-speaker audio system, Bluetooth, 6.5-inch color display capable of supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and HD radio with SiriusXM. Also standard are LED running lamps, stainless-steel door sills, 17-inch alloy wheels, signature black fender trim, ambient lighting, and faux-aluminum pedals.
