The Third Annual 5k Nun Run will be held in the County of Ventura, California, in the city of Thousand Oaks. The 5k Nun Run is proudly hosted by the Sisters of Notre Dame, La Reina High School, and La Reina Middle School. Along with the 5k marathon, the event also includes a community service fair and a one-mile Fun Run.
What is a Community Service Fair?
At a Community Service Fair, social outreach programs set up booths to provide information to the public. The goal of the fair is to bring social programs, and people together to help those in need. By visiting the booths, you can find information about each organization’s mission, services, and how you can help, or how the programs may be able to help you.
Nun Run Registration, Participation, Gifts, And Prizes
When you register as a participant, you will receive an event t-shirt and a free pancake breakfast. At the end of the run, medals will be given to the top finishers of each age bracket. Plus, the top male and female finishers will receive other prizes, as well as children under 14 years old, will receive a ribbon. There will also be many other gifts, and prizes for participants at the end of the run.
Who Supports This Event And How You Can Too
There are many organizations from the Ventura, California area that support the Nun Run such as Hospice of the Conejo, CASA of Ventura County, California, Manna Conejo Valley Food Bank, South Central LAMP, Senior Concerns, Loaves & Fishes Outreach Ministries, Many Mansions, and many other non-profit organizations. Supporting community outreach programs is an excellent way to get involved, help those in need, and make new friends, just stop by any booth to find out how you can help.
All proceeds from the Nun Run will benefit the SND Life and Ministries Fund, which is a social outreach program that assists the need locally and around the world.
