Here’s a list of important times and locations to remember the day of the race.
Race start times:
“Kids Fun Run”- 8:00 am, (10k)- 8:15 am, (5k)- 8:30 am
Start / Finish at Foster Park main gate area. An out and back course along the Ventura /Ojai bike path. Aid stations will be located every 1.5 miles. Thousands of dollars in prizes will be awarded at this event! See below for all the details.
Weekend warriors / Beginners / Walkers
Yes, this is a very walker friendly course. It is completely flat, there are plenty of aid stations, and will be loads of fun! Take your time and enjoy the scenery!
Middle of the pack runners:
Looking for a PR (personal record) this year? Then this is the race for you! This is an all flat course, along with the bike path and great for anyone that wants to turn on the speed.
Elite and Advanced runners:
This all flat course is a great way to test your mid-year speed. All on the bike path and just the place to make some great performances happen

Preparing for your 5 or 10K
Running a couple of miles happily is something that doesn’t just happen overnight. Lucky for you, there are a couple of quick tips to help you prepare for your upcoming race no matter the distance.
- The first thing you should do is to lay out all gear and clothes the night before that way the morning of you are sharp and not stressed out.
- The next thing you need to make sure you drink plenty of fluids, not just the day off but the night before as well. The ounce of water can make all the difference on your actual race day.
- Most runners suggest getting to the race about 30-45 minutes before for proper sign in time and moderate stretching. Stretching is a very neglected task for many people and can lead to a lot of distress on your body.
- Finally, that saying slow and steady wins the race might not always be true, but if you are beginner runner you may want to pace yourself. Walking a few laps is very important when adjusting your body to become a happy runner. Make sure you stay hydrated during the race and continue breathing properly.
